This Purchase & Cancellation Policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions of PetMedsToYourHome.ca (“we,” “us,” “our”). By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

1. General Purchase Terms

  • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

  • We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of:

    • Suspected fraud

    • Regulatory non-compliance

    • Incomplete or unverifiable prescription information

    • Pricing or listing errors

    • Supply shortages

  • All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD).

  • Applicable taxes and shipping fees are calculated at checkout.

  • Title and risk of loss transfer to the customer upon delivery to the shipping carrier.

2. Prescription Veterinary Medications

Due to regulatory requirements governing veterinary prescription products in Ontario and Canada:

  • Prescription medications require a valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian.

  • We reserve the right to verify prescriptions directly with the prescribing veterinarian.

  • Orders will not ship until prescription verification is completed.

  • If prescription verification fails, the order will be cancelled and refunded (less any non-recoverable processing fees, where permitted by law).

Important:

  • Prescription medications are final sale and not eligible for return or refund once dispensed or shipped, except in cases of:

    • Incorrect product shipped

    • Verified manufacturer defect

    • Legal obligation under applicable law

This restriction is necessary for health, safety, and product integrity reasons.

3. OTC Veterinary Products

For over-the-counter (OTC) veterinary products:

  • Products that are sealed, unopened, and unused may be eligible for return in accordance with our Returns Policy.

  • For health and safety reasons, we may refuse returns of ingestible, temperature-sensitive, or hygiene-related products once shipped.

4. Subscriptions

Certain products may be offered on a subscription basis.

By enrolling in a subscription:

  • You authorize us to securely store your payment method and charge it automatically on each renewal date.

  • Subscription renewals occur according to the frequency selected at checkout.

  • Some subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.

Customer Responsibilities:

  • You must cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.

  • You are responsible for maintaining valid and up-to-date payment information.

  • Failed payments may result in suspension or cancellation of the subscription.

Cancellation:

  • You may cancel anytime before the next billing date via:

    • The subscription management link in your confirmation email, or

    • By contacting customer service.

  • If an order has already been processed or shipped, cancellation applies to future billing cycles only.

  • Subscription orders already processed are subject to the same return restrictions as regular purchases.

We reserve the right to cancel subscriptions in cases of:

  • Suspected misuse

  • Bulk purchasing beyond intended personal pet use

  • Fraud

  • Pricing or system errors

5. Pre-Orders

Pre-orders apply to products not yet in stock or not yet released.

  • We may collect full payment, partial payment, or no payment at checkout.

  • By placing a pre-order, you authorize us to charge any remaining balance when the product becomes available.

  • Estimated availability dates are not guaranteed and may change due to supplier delays or regulatory clearance.

Cancellation:

  • You may cancel a pre-order before it has been processed for shipment.

  • Once shipped, it is treated as a completed purchase and subject to our Returns Policy.

  • Deposits may be non-refundable if clearly disclosed at checkout.

We reserve the right to cancel pre-orders due to:

  • Supply shortages

  • Regulatory restrictions

  • Pricing errors

  • Fraud concerns

If we cancel, you will receive a refund of amounts paid.

6. Order Cancellations (General)

  • Orders may be cancelled before processing.

  • Once an order enters fulfillment, it cannot be cancelled.

  • Once shipped, orders are subject to the Returns Policy.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Carriers

  • Weather

  • Regulatory review

  • Supplier interruptions

  • Force majeure events beyond our control

7. Payment Authorization & Chargebacks

By placing an order, you confirm:

  • You are authorized to use the payment method provided.

  • The billing information supplied is accurate.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us to resolve the issue may:

  • Result in account suspension

  • Refusal of future orders

  • Collection efforts where appropriate and permitted by law

8. Pricing Errors

While we strive for accuracy:

  • In the event of a pricing, typographical, or system error, we reserve the right to cancel affected orders.

  • If your order is cancelled due to an error, you will receive a full refund.

9. Compliance With Ontario Consumer Protection Act

Where applicable, this policy complies with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 for internet agreements.

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under Ontario law.

10. Limitation of Liability 

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

  • Our total liability relating to any product shall not exceed the amount paid for that product.

Veterinary medications should be used strictly as directed by your licensed veterinarian. We are not responsible for adverse outcomes arising from misuse, incorrect dosage, or failure to follow professional instructions.

11. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
